What Is ZXR10-TRILL-COMMON-MIB?
ZXR10-TRILL-COMMON-MIB is a ZTE proprietary module for ZXR10 switches implementing TRILL (Transparent Interconnection of Lots of Links), exposing common objects for the TRILL IS-IS routing protocol used in large Layer-2 fabrics. It provides a port table describing each TRILL-enabled interface's name and operating mode within the RBridge fabric, reflecting the protocol configuration and state of the device's fabric-facing ports. This lets an administrator monitor the software/protocol status of TRILL interfaces, confirming each port is correctly enrolled in TRILL mode and part of the intended fabric topology, which is important since a misconfigured mode can isolate a switch from the RBridge campus. It is closely tied to the IETF TRILL/IS-IS standards and complements other ZTE ZXR10 TRILL-specific MIBs covering RBridge identification and topology. It is deployed in ZTE ZXR10 data center switches participating in a TRILL fabric for loop-free, multipath Layer-2 forwarding. Engineers can download the ZXR10-TRILL-COMMON-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-TRILL-COMMON-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 TRILL-capable switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll zxr10TrillCommonPortTable, iterating its zxr10TrillCommonPortEntry rows to read zxr10TrillCommonIntfName and zxr10TrillCommonIntfMode for each fabric-facing port. If a port expected to operate in TRILL trunk mode instead shows an access or disabled mode, that signals a configuration drift that would break the intended multipath fabric topology.
What Can Be Monitored
- TRILL-enabled interface names
- per-port TRILL mode
- fabric port enrollment
- port table membership
