What Is ZXR10-SECTION-MIB?
ZXR10-SECTION-MIB is a ZTE enterprise MIB for the ZXR10 platform, covering configuration and performance monitoring of the section layer in SDH/SONET transport interfaces, where a 'section' is a physical transmission segment between adjacent network elements. It exposes configuration tables that define lists of sections and section-list slave relationships, including list and master/slave identifiers and row-status objects for managing table entries via SNMP SET. Its monitoring value centers on the transport-layer configuration/status of SDH/SONET links: administrators use it to verify that section lists are correctly configured with the right master and slave section associations, using zxr10SectionListConfigRowStatus and zxr10SectionListSlaveRowStatus to confirm entries are active, which supports fault isolation on optical transport circuits. It builds on standard SDH/SONET transmission concepts and interface indexing conventions common to transport MIBs (related in spirit to RFC 3592-style section/line/path MIBs). It is typically deployed on ZTE ZXR10 core/aggregation routers or transport nodes carrying SDH/SONET interfaces in carrier and metro transport networks. Engineers can download the ZXR10-SECTION-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-SECTION-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 routers/transport nodes with SDH/SONET interfaces
Monitoring Examples
An operator would walk zxr10SectionListConfigTable / zxr10SectionListConfigEntry keyed by zxr10SectionListConfigListId and zxr10SectionListConfigMasterId to verify section master associations are correctly configured, then check zxr10SectionListSlaveTable for the corresponding zxr10SectionListSlaveSlaveId entries and their zxr10SectionListSlaveRowStatus. An entry stuck in a non-active row status would indicate an incomplete or failed section configuration on that SDH/SONET link.
What Can Be Monitored
- section list configuration
- master/slave section associations
- section list row status
- section-level configuration state
