What Is ZXR10-POS-MGT-MIB?
ZXR10-POS-MGT-MIB is a ZTE vendor-specific MIB module for the ZXR10 platform (ZXROS) that manages Packet-over-SONET/SDH (POS) physical interfaces. It exposes physical-interface configuration data in the zxr10PosPhyIfTable (framing/encapsulation type via zxr10PosPhyIfEncapType, clock mode zxr10PosPhyIfClockMode, CRC mode zxr10PosPhyIfCrcCheck, scrambling zxr10PosPhyIfScramble, loopback status zxr10PosPhyIfLoopbackStatus) as well as receive-side error counters in the zxr10POSRecvStatsTable (zxr10PosRecvStatsAbort, zxr10PosRecvStatsOverFlow, zxr10PosRecvStatsRunt, zxr10PosRecvStatsGiant, zxr10PosRecvStatsDrop, zxr10PosRecvStatsFcsError, zxr10PosRecvStatsOverRun). It is useful for monitoring physical-layer health of SONET/SDH transport links on ZTE routers, since rising abort/FCS-error/overrun counts point to line, clocking, or framing problems on the transmission path. It sits alongside the vendor's ZXR10-SMI interface tree and depends on the broader ZXR10 interface-index conventions for correlating POS ports to ifIndex, and administrators can download the ZXR10-POS-MGT-MIB file to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-POS-MGT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 series routers/switches (POS/SDH interface modules)
Monitoring Examples
An operator polls zxr10POSRecvStatsTable and watches zxr10PosRecvStatsFcsError and zxr10PosRecvStatsOverRun for a given zxr10PosRecvStatsIndex; a steadily climbing FCS-error count alongside an unchanged zxr10PosPhyIfClockMode setting would point to a line-clocking mismatch or a degrading SONET/SDH physical link.
What Can Be Monitored
- POS physical interface configuration (framing, encapsulation, clock mode)
- CRC/scramble settings
- loopback status
- receive abort/overflow/runt/giant packet counters
- FCS error counter
- receive overrun counter
