What Is ZXR10-IF-STAT-MIB?

ZXR10-IF-STAT-MIB is a ZTE proprietary SNMP module for the ZXR10 platform that provides per-physical-interface traffic statistics, extending beyond the standard IF-MIB counters with vendor-specific detail. It exposes performance-counter data including inbound and outbound octet, unicast packet, discard, error, and unknown-protocol counts for each physical interface. This MIB is a core tool for monitoring the traffic-handling performance and software health of interfaces on the device, letting operators spot rising error or discard rates that indicate cabling problems, congestion, or misconfiguration well before a link fails outright. It closely parallels and likely complements the standard IETF IF-MIB, adding ZTE-specific physical-interface identification and counters. It is deployed on ZTE ZXR10 routers/switches in networks that need detailed per-interface traffic and error visibility for troubleshooting and capacity planning. Monitoring Examples

An operator polls the zxr10PhyIfStatTable/zxr10PhyIfStatEntry, indexed by zxr10PhyIfName, to retrieve zxr10PhyIfInOctets, zxr10PhyIfInUcastPkts, zxr10PhyIfInDiscards, zxr10PhyIfInErrors, and the corresponding zxr10PhyIfOutOctets/OutUcastPkts/OutDiscards/OutErrors fields. A sudden rise in zxr10PhyIfInErrors or zxr10PhyIfInUnknownProtos on a specific interface would point to a failing transceiver, duplex mismatch, or unexpected traffic type arriving on that port.

How to Use in IPNetwork Monitor

Example using zxr10IfTrafficStatInPkts OID:

Select a ZTE ZXR10 router/switch (per-physical-interface octet/packet/discard/error counter status) as the target host to create a monitor — the SNMP service should be up and running on it. Click New Monitor, then check SNMP Custom on the Favorites tab, click Next, and confirm the host. On the next page, click Select... to open the built-in SNMP MIB Browser and type zxr10IfTrafficStatInPkts into the Find box to locate it in the OID tree, selecting the specific row/instance you want to monitor since this is a table column, then select it and click OK. It reports in packets. On the monitor's Main parameters page you can set the target's SNMP port (default 161), credentials, polling interval, and other settings — see the SNMP Monitor help for details. On the State conditions and Alerting tabs, configure when the monitor should change state and trigger an alert; since this is a Counter64-type OID, Value bounds is the most useful condition here — trigger an alert if the counter increases sharply between polls relative to its normal baseline, since an unexpected spike often reflects a real change in traffic or activity. Click Finish to create the monitor; you can adjust any parameter later.
