What Is ZXR10-MPLS-L2VPN?

ZXR10-MPLS-L2VPN is a ZTE proprietary SNMP module (documented against ZXROS v4.6.03) for the ZXR10 platform that manages MPLS-based Layer 2 VPN services, including pseudowire configuration and VPLS (Virtual Private LAN Service) setups. It exposes configuration data describing pseudowires, VPLS instances, and their associated attachment circuits rather than environmental hardware metrics. This MIB supports monitoring the software/service status of MPLS L2VPN offerings on the device, letting an operator confirm pseudowires and VPLS instances are provisioned and in the expected operational state, which is critical for delivering carrier Ethernet services reliably. It is conceptually layered on top of core MPLS forwarding and likely complements ZXR10 MPLS-TE and L2VPN-object MIBs for a complete picture of the service. It is deployed on ZTE ZXR10 routers acting as PE devices in carrier MPLS networks delivering point-to-point or multipoint Ethernet services, and engineers configuring these PE routers often begin with a ZXR10-MPLS-L2VPN download to load the module into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-MPLS-L2VPN. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXR10 router (MPLS PE device)

Monitoring Examples

No object names were captured for this MIB, so a specific table cannot be honestly cited; in practice an operator would poll the pseudowire/VPLS instance tables to confirm each service shows an established/up state, noticing a service-impacting problem if a pseudowire remains down or flaps repeatedly.

What Can Be Monitored

  • pseudowire operational state
  • VPLS instance status
  • attachment circuit configuration
  • L2VPN service provisioning state
