Category: ZTE ZXR10 System Management

Description: Provides the root ZTE ZXR10 enterprise MIB structure defining the top-level OID hierarchy for all ZXR10 objects.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZXR10-MIB?

ZXR10-MIB is ZTE's private enterprise MIB for the ZXR10 family of switches and routers, and despite its name suggesting only a root OID structure, this build of the module also carries concrete hardware, software, and statistics alarm and inventory objects. It exposes hardware alarm traps, software/protocol alarm traps, statistics-threshold alarm traps, a system unit inventory table, per-process ID information, and CPU utilization data. It is used directly to monitor hardware and software status of ZXR10 devices, including CPU utilization (1-minute average), system unit inventory/status, and process (PID) tracking, alongside hardware, protocol, and statistics alarm traps that flag faults as they occur. As a top-level enterprise MIB it anchors ZTE's OID hierarchy and its alarm objects are typically used together with standard SNMP notification conventions rather than any specific external MIB dependency. It's typically deployed on ZTE ZXR10 series routers and switches in carrier and enterprise networks where a monitoring station both polls system/CPU status and subscribes to hardware and protocol alarm traps. Engineers can download the ZXR10-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXR10 router
  • ZTE ZXR10 switch

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll zxr10SystemCpuUtility1m to track the 1-minute CPU load average and zxr10SystemUnitTable/zxr10SystemUnitEntry for system unit inventory and status. zxr10HardwareAlarmTrapTable and zxr10SoftProtocolAlarmTrapTable capture active hardware faults and software/protocol alarms respectively, while zxr10StatisticsAlarmTrapTable flags when a statistical threshold (such as traffic or error rate) has been crossed. A sustained high value in zxr10SystemCpuUtility1m combined with new entries appearing in the hardware alarm table would point to a device under stress or experiencing a hardware fault.

What Can Be Monitored

  • CPU utilization (1-minute average)
  • system unit inventory/status
  • process (PID) table
  • hardware alarm traps
  • software/protocol alarm traps
  • statistics threshold alarm traps
