Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management
Description: Defines ZTE access node base multicast management objects shared across IGMP and MLD service modules.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ZTE-AN-MULTICAST-BASE-MIB?
ZTE-AN-MULTICAST-BASE-MIB defines the shared base objects used by ZTE Access Node's multicast-management modules, providing common infrastructure that the vendor's IGMP-snooping and MLD-snooping (IPv4 and IPv6) MIBs build on rather than exposing an independent feature set. It contains foundational multicast configuration/state definitions common across those service-specific modules, plus the conformance clauses tying them together. Its monitoring value is largely indirect: as a base/shared module it underpins the multicast-service MIBs an operator actually polls for group-membership and forwarding health, so its correct implementation is a prerequisite for those service MIBs to function and report accurately. It is explicitly designed as a dependency for the sibling ZTE-AN-MLD-MIB and any equivalent IGMP-snooping module, rather than a standalone monitoring target. It is deployed on ZTE access nodes wherever IGMP or MLD snooping-based multicast services are enabled. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-MULTICAST-BASE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-MULTICAST-BASE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
The available sample objects, zxAnMcastBaseCompliances and zxAnMcastBaseGroups, are conformance/compliance clauses rather than runtime monitoring data; this module does not itself expose data an admin would poll directly, but instead defines shared object infrastructure that the vendor's IGMP/MLD snooping MIBs rely on for reporting multicast state.
