What Is XYLAN-IMA-MIB?

XYLAN-IMA-MIB is a legacy Xylan Corporation (later Alcatel) proprietary MIB reporting IMA (Inverse Multiplexing for ATM) link status and cell-level statistics on Xylan OmniSwitch ATM equipment. Its link table, keyed by slot/port, records description, admin status, ifIndex, received/transmitted ICP (IMA Control Protocol) cells, filler cells, ATM-layer cells, bad/bad-CRC ICP cells, cells-in-receive-buffer, receive-buffer flush/overflow/discard events, TX/RX stuff events, and a clear-statistics action, alongside an IMA group table. As a performance/status MIB it lets an administrator watch IMA link cell-error rates and buffer health to diagnose a degraded bonded ATM link. It is deployed on Xylan (Alcatel) OmniSwitch ATM equipment. Engineers can download the XYLAN-IMA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
