Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Wellfleet-AT-MIB?

Wellfleet-AT-MIB is a legacy Wellfleet Communications (later Bay Networks/Nortel, built on Wellfleet-COMMON-MIB) proprietary MIB configuring AppleTalk (and MacIP) on a per-slot basis. Its objects cover a create/delete/disable/state control, debug level, DDP queue length, homed port, total nets/zones/zone-names/AARP-entries, estimated nets/hosts, MacIP base create/delete/disable/state, MacIP zone, and up to several MacIP address ranges (lower/upper IP bounds). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm AppleTalk/MacIP slot configuration and estimated network size on a legacy Wellfleet (Bay Networks/Nortel) router. It is deployed on legacy Wellfleet Communications (Bay Networks/Nortel) routers (AppleTalk/MacIP). Engineers can download the Wellfleet-AT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Wellfleet-AT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy Wellfleet Communications (Bay Networks/Nortel) routers (AppleTalk/MacIP)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks wfAppleBaseTotalZones and wfAppleMacIPZone to confirm AppleTalk/MacIP slot configuration on a legacy Wellfleet (Bay Networks/Nortel) router.
