Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is WWP-LEOS-EXT-LAG-MIB?
WWP-LEOS-EXT-LAG-MIB is a Ciena (World Wide Packets, LEOS platform) proprietary MIB extending the standard IEEE 802.3ad LAG MIB with aggregator creation/deletion management. Its objects cover maximum and current LAG counts, and an extended LAG table recording aggregator ID/name/index, status, mode, protection-revert state/timer, hash mode, protection mode, and flood-hash mode, alongside a per-physical-port LAG-mode table (admin/operational mode) and a protection table (protected port, row status). As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm a LAG's protection-revert timer and hash mode, and audit which physical ports are configured for LAG protection. It is deployed on Ciena (World Wide Packets LEOS) carrier Ethernet switches. Engineers can download the WWP-LEOS-EXT-LAG-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in WWP-LEOS-EXT-LAG-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Ciena (World Wide Packets LEOS) carrier Ethernet switches
Monitoring Examples
An administrator checks wwpLeosExtLagProtectionRevertTimer to confirm how long a LAG will wait before reverting to its primary member after a protection switchover on a Ciena LEOS switch.
What Can Be Monitored
- LAG aggregator creation, protection mode, and revert timer
