What Is WLSX-IFEXT-MIB?

WLSX-IFEXT-MIB is an Aruba Networks module providing extended interface objects for both wired and wireless ports on an Aruba wireless LAN controller, supplementing the standard IF-MIB with Aruba-specific port details. It exposes port-level configuration and statistics covering both the controller's wired uplink/downlink ports and its wireless radio interfaces. Monitoring use centers on tracking wired and wireless port operational status and traffic statistics as indicators of the controller's network connectivity health, complementing the broader system-level data in WLSX-SWITCH-MIB. It implicitly builds on standard interface conventions from IF-MIB (RFC 2863), which it extends with Aruba-specific fields. It is deployed on Aruba wireless LAN controllers in enterprise Wi-Fi deployments where both wired switch ports and wireless radios need combined management. Engineers can download the WLSX-IFEXT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
