WHISP-GLOBAL-REG-MIB

Defines Motorola Canopy WHISP product registration OIDs and global enterprise MIB structure identifiers.

WHISP-GLOBAL-REG-MIB is Motorola's central registration module for the Canopy WHISP (Wireless High Speed Internet Service Provider) product line of fixed wireless broadband equipment. It does not expose runtime monitoring data itself; instead it establishes the top-level enterprise OID hierarchy (mot, whispRoot, whispReg, whispGeneric, whispProducts) under which the actual Canopy product MIBs and the SNMP agent identification (canopySnmpAgent) are registered. Because it is purely a registration/structural module, it is not directly used to check hardware or software status, but it anchors the OID tree that Canopy device MIBs use to expose radio, interface, and system health information. It depends on Motorola's private enterprise arborescence within the standard SNMP OID tree and is imported by the various Canopy product-specific MIB modules. It is deployed wherever Motorola Canopy wireless broadband base stations and subscriber modules are managed via SNMP, and network operators typically load the WHISP-GLOBAL-REG-MIB file into their SNMP toolchain before any of the individual Canopy product MIBs.

This module defines only OID registration points (mot, whispRoot, whispReg, whispGeneric, whispProducts, canopySnmpAgent) rather than data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe directly; it exists to anchor the enterprise OID tree used by the actual Canopy product and agent MIBs.
