Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance

Description: Defines Unisphere ERX autoconfiguration MIB agent conformance and compliance statement groups.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-Autoconfigure-CONF?

Unisphere-Data-Autoconfigure-CONF is a conformance (AGENT-CAPABILITIES) module for the Unisphere Networks ERX family of routing switches, defining which object groups and compliance statements the SNMP agent implements for the Auto-Configuration component. It does not itself expose any runtime data objects; it is purely a declaration of agent capabilities used by management systems to determine which parts of the corresponding Auto-Configuration MIB are actually supported by a given agent/firmware version. As such it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status, since it contains no polled counters, tables, or traps of its own. It exists solely to describe conformance to the companion Unisphere Auto-Configuration data MIB, so it is entirely dependent on that other module for meaning. It is used implicitly during MIB compilation and NMS capability negotiation rather than being polled during day-to-day monitoring of Unisphere ERX routing switches. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-Autoconfigure-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-Autoconfigure-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Unisphere Networks ERX routing switch

Monitoring Examples

This module is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES definition with no sample data objects, and none were provided, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe. Its only practical use is at MIB-compilation or agent-capability-negotiation time, where an NMS uses it to determine which auto-configuration object groups a given ERX agent implementation actually supports.

RFC description

Juniper Unisphere Data automatic configuration MIB for managing Juniper device auto-configuration and autoinstallation. Defines configuration parameters for automatically deploying and installing configuration files on Juniper network devices over the network.

Start monitoring Unisphere Networks ERX routing switch (auto-configuration agent conformance declaration, no data objects) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
