Category: Juniper Unisphere ERX Conformance
Description: Defines Juniper/Unisphere ERX BGP MIB agent conformance groups and compliance statements.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-BGP-CONF?
Unisphere-Data-BGP-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module for Unisphere/Juniper ERX routers, formally documenting which parts of the companion Unisphere-Data-BGP-MIB the SNMP agent actually implements. As a conformance module it does not itself expose any runtime monitoring data; instead it lists compliance groups and capability statements used by management tools to validate agent support. Its relevance to monitoring is indirect: it tells a management station or NMS integrator which BGP objects/groups are safely pollable on a given ERX agent version. It is entirely dependent on Unisphere-Data-BGP-MIB, whose object groups it references and profiles. It is used during ERX router SNMP agent qualification and by NMS vendors validating BGP monitoring support, not for live traffic monitoring itself. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the Unisphere-Data-BGP-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-BGP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Juniper/Unisphere ERX edge routing switch (agent capability declaration only)
Monitoring Examples
This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects of its own; sample_objects is empty, confirming it only contains compliance/group references rather than pollable OIDs. There is no realistic polling scenario to describe here beyond an NMS checking agent capability statements during integration.

RFC description
Defines SNMP agent capabilities for BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) routing in Juniper/Unisphere systems.
Start monitoring Juniper/Unisphere ERX edge routing switch, agent capability declaration only (BGP-agent conformance declaration, no data objects) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor.
