Description: Siemens Enterprise Communications MIB defining SNMP trap notifications for alarms, TCA events, and CSTA registration status on Siemens HiQ enterprise communication systems

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is US-HIQ-TRAP-MIB?

US-HIQ-TRAP-MIB is a Siemens Enterprise Communications (Surpass hiQ softswitch platform) proprietary MIB defining RTP (Real-Time event/alarm) trap notifications, with event fields defined in a companion RtpAdmEventMgmt.mib. Its notifications cover SS7 SCTP association created/deleted, IP signaling-link activated/deactivated, M3UA routing-key activated/deactivated, SCTP network-status change, process-exited, audit-starting/named-detector-starting/detector-within-limit events, available-disk-space below critical/major/minor thresholds (and a free-space-OK recovery), file-system-below-minimum tiers 1-4 (and above-minimum recovery), and file-group-above-threshold tiers. As a notification MIB it lets an administrator get alerted on SS7/SCTP signaling-link and disk-space health on a Siemens Surpass hiQ softswitch. It is deployed on Siemens Enterprise Communications Surpass hiQ softswitch platforms. Engineers can download the US-HIQ-TRAP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in US-HIQ-TRAP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Siemens Enterprise Communications Surpass hiQ softswitch platforms

Monitoring Examples

An administrator receives hiQAudAvailDiskSpBelowCritThld to catch a critically low disk-space condition on a Siemens Surpass hiQ softswitch.

What Can Be Monitored

  • SS7/SCTP signaling-link events and disk-space health
