What Is TRIPPLITE?
TRIPPLITE is the root/base SMI module for Tripp Lite, a manufacturer of power protection products such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), power distribution units (PDUs), and surge protectors; the module itself simply registers Tripp Lite's enterprise OID (850) and establishes the top of its private MIB tree. It does not define monitorable scalars or tables on its own — that data lives in subordinate Tripp Lite MIB modules that branch off this root, covering things such as UPS battery status, input/output voltage, load percentage, and alarm conditions. As the foundational registration point, it indirectly underlies the monitoring of core power-hardware health indicators (battery charge, runtime remaining, output load, temperature, and alarm/fault states) that Tripp Lite devices report through its child MIBs. It depends on the standard SNMPv2-SMI enterprise-registration mechanism and serves purely as a namespace anchor for the rest of the Tripp Lite MIB hierarchy. It is typically found wherever Tripp Lite UPS or PDU hardware is deployed and managed via SNMP network cards/adapters, in server rooms and data centers protecting IT equipment, and administrators setting up that monitoring typically start with a TRIPPLITE download to establish the enterprise MIB tree in their browser.

Monitoring Examples
This module defines only the OID root (enterprises.850) under which all real Tripp Lite objects are registered — it has no scalars or tables of its own, so there's no direct monitoring scenario; actual UPS metrics (battery status, load, voltage, alarms) are exposed by subordinate Tripp Lite MIB modules that import this root.
