Category: IP Routing and Multicast

Description: Manages TP-Link switch VRRP virtual router groups, priority, preemption, and gateway redundancy.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TPLINK-VRRP-MIB?

TPLINK-VRRP-MIB is a TP-LINK proprietary MIB managing VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol). Its global-control table, keyed by VRID/VLAN ID, records interface status, interface IP, virtual MAC address, description, primary virtual IP, running/configured priority, advertisement interval, preempt mode, time delay, authentication type/key, state, and status, while a virtual-IP-control table records additional virtual IP addresses per VRRP instance. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm VRRP master/backup state and priority on a TP-LINK router/switch. It is deployed on TP-LINK routing/switching equipment (VRRP). Engineers can download the TPLINK-VRRP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TPLINK-VRRP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • TP-LINK routing/switching equipment (VRRP)

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks tpVrrpState and tpVrrpRunPriority to confirm which router is VRRP master on a TP-LINK device.

What Can Be Monitored

  • VRRP master/backup state and priority configuration
