Description:
The value of tSapIngPolicerRateType specifies the type of ingress policer rate.
When the value of the object is set to 'kbps', the ingresss policer rates are specified in kbps. The objects tSapIngPolicerAdminPIRPercent and tSapIngPolicerAdminCIRPercent will be set to their default values.
When the value of the object is set to 'percentOfLocalLimit', the ingress policer rates are specified in percentage. The objects tSapIngPolicerAdminPIR and tSapIngPolicerAdminCIR will be set to their default values.
What is tSapIngPolicerRateType?
This object specifies whether ingress policer rates for a Service Access Point are configured in kilobits-per-second or as a percentage of a local link's bandwidth limit. An operator would set this when configuring QoS policies to choose between absolute rate limiting or relative bandwidth allocation. The choice affects how dependent configuration parameters (like PIR and CIR percentages) are interpreted.
