This object specifies which rate-limiting policer to apply to multicast traffic arriving on a particular forwarding class in a Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent service router. The policer controls bandwidth consumption of multicast streams to prevent network saturation. An operator would configure this when deploying multicast services or updating QoS policies to ensure multicast traffic respects bandwidth reservations.
