Description:
The value of tHsmdaPoolSystemReserve specifies the percentage of HSMDA buffers that will be reserved for internal system use.
When this value is set, all the provisioned buffer pool allocation sizes will be re-evaluated. This includes the port class allocations specified by indirectly by tmnxPortIngPoolPercentRate and tmnxPortEgrPoolPercentRate, and class and root pools specified indirectly by tHsmdaPoolClass1AllocPercent through tHsmdaPoolClass8AllocPercent and tHsmdaPoolRoot1AllocWeight through tHsmdaPoolRoot8AllocWeight.
What is tHsmdaPoolSystemReserve?
This object specifies the percentage of High-Speed Memory Data Archive (HSMDA) buffer pool reserved for internal system use in a carrier-grade system. Changing this triggers re-evaluation of all port class and QoS pool allocations. Operators tune this parameter to balance system overhead against available buffer space for data traffic.
