Description: Defines Teldat router LLC (Logical Link Control) event trap notifications.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-TRAP-LLC-MIB?
TELDAT-TRAP-LLC-MIB is a Teldat enterprise MIB defining SNMP trap notifications generated by the router's Logical Link Control (LLC) event subsystem, covering both LLC1 (connectionless) and LLC2 (connection-oriented) frame events. It exposes trap payload objects describing LLC1 frame type, source/destination MAC and SAP addresses, and RIF routing information, as well as LLC2 connection and state change events. This MIB is fault/event-oriented rather than exposing pollable runtime counters, letting administrators be notified in near real time of LLC-layer connectivity events such as state transitions or errors on token-ring/LLC2-based links. It depends on the underlying LLC1/LLC2 data link layer standards (IEEE 802.2) that define the frame and connection semantics it reports on. It is deployed on Teldat routers in legacy environments using LLC2-based protocols (e.g., SNA/token-ring interworking), and administrators can download the TELDAT-TRAP-LLC-MIB file to load it into their trap receiver or MIB browser for event decoding.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-LLC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would configure a trap receiver to catch llcNotifications and inspect fields like llc2-llc-event and llc2-llc-state to identify when an LLC2 connection transitions to a failed or disconnected state, and llc1-src-mac/llc1-dst-mac to identify which endpoints were involved in an LLC1 frame event. Because this MIB is primarily notification-based, ongoing polling of steady-state counters is less applicable than reacting to the traps themselves.
What Can Be Monitored
- LLC2 connection state changes
- LLC1 frame events
- source/destination MAC and SAP addresses
- LLC event notifications

RFC description
Teldat enterprise-specific SNMP MIB module that defines trap definitions related to Link Layer Control (LLC) functionality for Teldat routers and network equipment.
Start monitoring Teldat router, legacy LLC2/token-ring interworking (LLC frame/connection-state event traps) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
