Category: Teldat Router Management, Teldat Trap Notifications
Description: Defines Teldat router VLI (VLAN interface) event trap notifications.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is TELDAT-TRAP-VLI-MIB?
This Teldat-proprietary MIB defines SNMP trap notifications for the VLI (VLAN interface) subsystem on Teldat routers. It exposes event data spanning errors, informational messages, warnings, protocol traces, and command-level details (command IDs, pending flags, data length/content) associated with VLAN interface processing. It is a software-status monitor covering the VLAN interface feature's internal command handling and state, letting administrators catch VLAN configuration or command-processing failures as trap events rather than through periodic polling. It has no explicit external MIB dependency, relying on Teldat's internal VLAN interface implementation and command protocol. It is deployed on Teldat routers configured with 802.1Q VLAN sub-interfaces in enterprise or multi-tenant WAN environments. Engineers can download the TELDAT-TRAP-VLI-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TELDAT-TRAP-VLI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Teldat router
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would monitor vli1-error and vli2-info traps to distinguish genuine VLAN-interface failures from routine informational events, while vli5-cmd-id, vli5-pending, and vli5-len/vli5-data expose details of a specific internal command issued against a VLAN interface, useful when diagnosing a stuck or malformed configuration command. vli7-event provides a general event marker for VLAN interface state changes. Because these are trap-only notifications, a management station typically aggregates them by VLAN interface to spot repeated command failures on a particular sub-interface.
What Can Be Monitored
- VLAN interface errors/warnings
- internal command IDs and pending status
- command data length/content
- VLAN interface event notifications
