t11vfPortVfId

Module: T11-IETF-IMSS-FC-VIRTUAL-FABRIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): T11-IETF-IMSS-FC-VIRTUAL-FABRIC-MIB::t11vfPortVfId

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.0.1.3.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: T11FabricIndex

Access: read-write

Description: The Port VF_ID assigned to this Port. The Port VF_ID is the default Virtual Fabric that is assigned to untagged frames arriving at this Port. The Control VF_ID is implicitly enabled and is not set. Communication with the Control VF_ID is required.

What is t11vfPortVfId?

This read-write value is the Port VF_ID assigned to a physical port, the default Virtual Fabric applied to untagged frames arriving on that port, defaulting to 1. An admin sets this to determine which Virtual Fabric a port's untagged traffic belongs to by default, since the Control VF_ID is always implicitly enabled and doesn't need to be explicitly set. For example, an admin assigning a port to Virtual Fabric 3 for all its untagged inbound traffic would set t11vfPortVfId to 3 on that port's row.
