All MIBs › T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB
Organization: This MIB module was developed through the coordinated effort of two organizations: T11 began the development and the IETF (in the IMSS Working Group) finished it.
Last Updated: 2008-08-20
Category: Fibre Channel and Storage, Textual Conventions and Registries
Description: Defines common textual conventions used across the Fibre Channel Security Protocols (FC-SP) MIB modules.
IPNetwork Monitor uses several OIDs from this MIB in network discovery and polling the applicable devices. Start monitoring T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor.
What Is T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB?
T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB is a joint T11/IETF (IMSS Working Group) standard MIB (RFC 5324) defining Textual Conventions and Object Identities used across the Fibre Channel Security Protocols (FC-SP) MIB family, including OIDs for FC-SP cryptographic algorithms, but carries no data objects of its own. As a structural/type-definition MIB it exists so companion FC-SP MIBs (authentication, key management) share consistent textual conventions and algorithm identifiers. It underlies Fibre Channel Security Protocols (FC-SP)-capable fabric switching equipment. Engineers implementing or auditing this functionality typically reference the T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB RFC/standard documentation for the authoritative specification.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Fibre Channel Security Protocols (FC-SP)-capable fabric switching equipment
Monitoring Examples
A MIB browser loads T11-FC-SP-TC-MIB automatically when parsing a companion FC-SP security MIB, resolving the shared textual conventions and cryptographic-algorithm OIDs.

RFC description
IETF standard textual conventions MIB (RFC 5939) for Fibre Channel Security Protocol (FC-SP) management.
Start monitoring Fibre Channel Security Protocols (FC-SP)-capable fabric switching equipment (textual conventions, no data objects) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
