Category: Power and UPS

Description: Manages SYNSO UPS configuration, battery state, output power, and alarm notifications.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is SYNSO-UPSMIB?

SYNSO-UPSMIB is a vendor MIB from SYNSO for managing its uninterruptible power supply (UPS) product line. It exposes platform and feature identification, serial number, system start time, communication port settings (UPS and modem), signal type/definition, and alarm status. This is a classic power-protection hardware monitoring MIB: it lets an administrator check whether the UPS alarm is active, how long the system has been running since last start, and basic identity/version data (platform, software, serial number) to confirm the correct unit and its operating state. It is a self-contained proprietary enterprise MIB rather than one built on a shared UPS standard such as RFC 1628 (UPS-MIB). Deployment context is data center or wiring-closet power protection, where SYNSO UPS units are polled or send traps to alert on power events, battery issues, or communication loss. Engineers can download the SYNSO-UPSMIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SYNSO-UPSMIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • SYNSO UPS (uninterruptible power supply)

Monitoring Examples

An admin polls syupsUpsAlarm to detect an active alarm condition such as on-battery or overload, and checks syupsSystemStartTime to confirm the UPS's uptime since its last restart. syupsFeatureTable/syupsFeature enumerates the capabilities of the specific syupsPlatForm model, while synsoUpsSoftware and syupsSerialNo let an admin verify firmware version and unit identity during an audit.

What Can Be Monitored

  • UPS alarm status
  • system start time/uptime
  • serial number/platform identity
  • software/firmware version
  • communication port configuration
