What Is STXN-GLOBALREGISTER-MIB?
STXN-GLOBALREGISTER-MIB is a vendor MIB from Aviat Networks that defines the OID registration tree for its STXN microwave/wireless transmission platform under the DMC Enterprise MIB branch. It does not itself expose operational data; instead it is a pure sub-registry MIB that reserves and organizes object identifiers for products and components within the STXN-GLOBALREGISTER-MIB OID tree, so that other STXN MIB modules can attach their real monitoring objects underneath it in a structured, conflict-free namespace. Because it carries no leaf objects of its own, it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; its value is indirect, enabling the companion STXN device MIBs that do expose uptime, alarms, and equipment status to be organized coherently. It is closely dependent on the SNMPv2-SMI enterprise numbering scheme and on Aviat's broader DMC Enterprise OID tree, of which it is a formal sub-branch. It is deployed as infrastructure alongside the fuller STXN platform MIB suite on Aviat Networks microwave transmission equipment.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in STXN-GLOBALREGISTER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
There are no monitorable leaf objects in this module; a management station uses its OID assignments only to correctly namespace object identifiers reported by companion STXN MIBs, such as product- and component-identification objects, ensuring OIDs under the Aviat STXN branch resolve unambiguously. Any real polling for status or performance data occurs through the sibling STXN MIBs that register underneath this tree, not through this module directly.
