What Is SERVERVIEW-VME-MIB?

SERVERVIEW-VME-MIB is a Fujitsu ServerView module for the VME component of Fujitsu's server management framework, exposed here primarily through its event and trap reporting objects. Its data is centered on fault/event notification: trap metadata (server name, time, parameter name/value, threshold value that was crossed) and a parallel event log (creation time, event type, a full formatted message, the host, user, VM, and server involved). This makes it valuable for monitoring software/hardware fault conditions after the fact, an administrator can see exactly which threshold was breached, on which server, and who or what triggered the event, rather than for polling steady-state performance counters. It is part of the broader Fujitsu ServerView management suite and is expected to work alongside other ServerView MIBs that expose the actual sensor/hardware status values referenced by these threshold traps. It is deployed on Fujitsu PRIMERGY/PRIMEQUEST servers managed through the ServerView agent, particularly within virtualized environments given the VM-specific event fields. Monitoring Examples

When a monitored parameter crosses a limit, the agent populates svVmeTrapInfoServerName, svVmeTrapParameterName, svVmeTrapParameterValue, and svVmeTrapThresholdValue so a trap receiver knows exactly which server, which parameter, and which threshold was exceeded. The parallel svVmeEventType, svVmeEventFullFormattedMessage, and svVmeEventHost/svVmeEventVM/svVmeEventUserName objects let an administrator review the event log to correlate a specific fault message to the affected host and virtual machine, and svVmeNotificationsInfo can be checked to confirm notification delivery is configured.
