All MIBs › SCC-MIB
Category: RAID and Storage Management
Description: Manages SCC RAID storage array general configuration, health status, and disk inventory.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is SCC-MIB?
SCC-MIB, based on the available source, defines the top-level enterprise OID tree for the SCC RAID storage array product line rather than exposing runtime configuration or health objects directly; the sampled objects here are all registration-level branches (product, MIB, and sub-project names) rather than instance data. It is intended as the root registration point under which SCC's actual RAID configuration, disk inventory, and health-status object groups would be defined in companion or child MIBs. Because only the OID-tree root is visible in this source, no hardware or software runtime status such as disk health, RAID state, or controller status can be confirmed from these objects alone. It necessarily depends on child MIB modules registered under this tree for any pollable RAID array management data. It would typically be deployed as part of a broader MIB set for an SCC RAID storage controller/array in a data-center storage environment, where administrators can get the SCC-MIB download as the starting point for the full RAID monitoring MIB set.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in SCC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

- SCC RAID storage array/controller
Monitoring Examples
No runtime data objects are available in this source; the sampled objects (scc, sccExperiment, sccProducts, sccMibs, sccSidewinder, sccSns) are all OID-tree registration branches, so this module alone cannot be polled for RAID array status — actual disk/RAID health objects would live in a companion MIB registered under this tree.
