What Is RBN-ERICSSON-ALARM-CAP?
RBN-ERICSSON-ALARM-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module documenting which portions of the companion ERICSSON-ALARM-MIB are implemented in the SNMP agent on Ericsson/RedBack SmartEdge routing platforms (SE, SM, and SSR families). It belongs to the conformance-declaration category rather than the operational-data category, enumerating supported groups/objects per Ericsson SEOS software release without itself carrying any alarm state. Consequently it plays no direct monitoring role on its own; the actual alarm data -- fault conditions, active alarm severity, alarm history -- lives in ERICSSON-ALARM-MIB, and this module only confirms which of those objects an NMS can rely on before polling. It is explicitly and entirely dependent on ERICSSON-ALARM-MIB, whose conformance it describes.
