What Is RBN-ENVMON-CAP?
RBN-ENVMON-CAP is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module (Ericsson SmartEdge platforms) documenting which objects and variations of the environmental monitoring MIB (RBN-ENVMON-MIB) a given SmartEdge/SEOS SNMP agent implementation actually supports, rather than exposing environmental data itself. It records platform/product-family applicability (SmartEdge MSER, SM, or SSR families) and SEOS software version in its PRODUCT-RELEASE clause, but contains no runtime objects of its own. Its relevance to hardware/software status monitoring is indirect: it tells a management system which environmental attributes (such as temperature, fan, or power sensors defined in the companion RBN-ENVMON-MIB) are actually implemented on a particular SmartEdge platform and version, so the monitoring tool knows what to expect before polling. It has an explicit, defining dependency on RBN-ENVMON-MIB, whose object support it documents. It is typically consulted by NMS tooling or MIB compilers during onboarding of a new SmartEdge platform release to determine environmental-monitoring feature support, not polled directly at runtime. Engineers can download the RBN-ENVMON-CAP file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RBN-ENVMON-CAP. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples
This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe from polling it; it exists solely to declare which RBN-ENVMON-MIB objects and variations are implemented for a given Ericsson SmartEdge SEOS release and product family.
