Description:

The BGP Established event is generated when the BGP FSM enters the ESTABLISHED state.

What is rcnbgpEstablished?

This notification fires when a BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) neighbor connection transitions from the negotiation phase into the ESTABLISHED state, indicating a successful peering session. The trap includes information about the peer IP address, the peer's state, and any error codes from the transition. Network operators monitor this event to track BGP session establishment, troubleshoot routing neighbor issues, and verify successful peering.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
