Module: RAPID-CITY

OID (symbolic): RAPID-CITY::rcVlanPortDiscardTaggedFrames

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.3.3.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: A flag used to determine how to process tagged frames received on this access port. When the flag is set, these frames are discarded by the forwarding process. When the flag is reset, these frames are processed normally.

This field is meaningless when the port is not an access port and should be set to false(2).

What is rcVlanPortDiscardTaggedFrames?

This object controls whether VLAN-tagged frames received on an access port are discarded by the forwarding process. When enabled, tagged frames are dropped; when disabled, they are processed normally. An operator uses this to enforce strict access port behavior, ensuring that only untagged frames (or properly configured tagged frames) are accepted on edge ports.
