Type: Integer32

Access: read-only

Description:

The sequence number field is a signed 32-bit integer. It is used to detect old and dupli- cate link state advertisements. The space of sequence numbers is linearly ordered. The larger the sequence number the more recent the advertisement.

What is rcOspfv3AsLsdbSequence?

This object holds a signed 32-bit sequence number from an OSPFv3 Link State Database (LSDB) entry, used to identify the relative age and detect duplicate or outdated link state advertisements in the routing database. Routers compare sequence numbers to ensure they process only the newest routing information, maintaining consistency across the OSPF domain. Operators monitor sequence numbers to verify proper OSPF convergence and detect routing anomalies.
