The number of keep alive messages transmitted to this peer.
What is rcMsdpPeerOutKeepAliveMessages?
This counter records the total number of keep-alive messages that have been sent to a specific MSDP (Multicast Source Discovery Protocol) peer. Keep-alive messages maintain the health of the MSDP connection and prevent the peer relationship from timing out. Network operators monitor this to verify that MSDP peers are actively communicating and that the multicast routing control plane is functioning properly.
