This counter accumulates packets with errors received on the left lane of the RSP (Route Switch Processor) AM (Aggregate Module) on a Rapid City forwarding engine. System engineers monitor it to detect physical layer errors or bit corruption on the internal fabric interconnect. Rising error counts may indicate failing hardware, poor signal integrity, or fabric congestion requiring investigation.
