Description: Used to specify whether a TCP packet matching this filter should be accepted. Pass only those matching TCP packets with either the ACK bit or RST bit set. Apply only if the IP Protocol is set to TCP.
What is rcIpFilterTcpConnect?
This object enables or disables special handling of TCP packets that match a specific IP filter rule. When enabled, only TCP packets with ACK (acknowledgment) or RST (reset) bits set are allowed through the filter, providing a way to permit established connections while blocking new connection attempts. Operators use this to implement stateful filtering policies that distinguish between TCP connection initiation and ongoing data transfer.
