Description:

Configures BGP to overlook an illegal router ID. Enables or disable accepting a connection from a peer that sends its open message with a router ID of 0.

What is rcIpBgpGeneralGroupIgnoreIllegalRouterId?

This object allows a BGP router to accept connections from BGP peers that send an invalid router ID of 0.0.0.0, which normally violates the BGP specification. When enabled, the router overlooks this protocol violation and establishes the connection anyway; when disabled, the router rejects such connections. Network administrators use this setting to work around non-compliant BGP implementations on peer equipment.
