Description:
Enable to allow the comparison of the Multi Exit Discriminator (MED) for paths from neighbors in different autonomous systems.
What is rcIpBgpGeneralGroupAlwaysCompareMed?
When enabled, this configuration causes the BGP router to always compare the Multi Exit Discriminator (MED) metric for all candidate routes, regardless of whether peers are in the same or different autonomous systems. By default (disabled), the router only compares MED for routes from the same AS. Operators enable this to enforce stricter path selection criteria across multiple autonomous systems.
