Description: A rcCpLimitShutDown trap signifies that the cp limit for the port is shutting down.
What is rcCpLimitShutDown?
This trap notifies when a port's Control Processor rate limit threshold is being exceeded, causing the system to shut down that port. Network operators respond to this alert by investigating traffic patterns and adjusting rate limits to prevent service interruption.
Examples
Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):
