Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: An octet field holding the Next Egress Identifier returned in the LTR Egress Identifier TLV of the LTR. The Next Egress Identifier Identifies the Linktrace Responder that transmitted this LTR, and can forward the LTM to the next hop. This is the same value as the Egress Identifier TLV of the forwarded LTM, if any. If the FwdYes bit of the Flags field is false, the contents of this field are undefined, and the field is ignored by the receiver.

What is rcCfmLtrReplyNextEgressIdentifier?

This is an 8-octet field that identifies the next hop device that will forward a Linktrace Message (LTM) in Ethernet Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) operations. It specifies which device is replying to the linktrace request and where the message came from. Operators use this during network diagnostics to trace the path of a fault or connectivity issue through the network.
