Description:
This variable contains the monitor setting of the MAC address. The value 'true' means a copy of packet frame that send from or to the MAC address is forwarded to the designated monitoring port on the system. This value should be synchronized with the setting of 'unknow MAC discard' table's 'Default AutoLearnMonitor' setting when the MAC address was learned.
What is rcBridgeAutoLearnMonitor?
This OID indicates whether a learned MAC address is being monitored (mirrored to a monitoring port) on the network switch. Setting this to 'true' copies traffic from that MAC address to a designated port for inspection. A network analyst would set this to monitor a suspicious device's traffic by copying all its packets to an analyzer port.
