Description:

Sustained cell rate in cells per second. The maximum peak cell rate is half of the line rate. The peak cell rate for MDA type OC12 must be less than 733491. However, for OC3, it is less than 182783.

What is rc2kAtmPvcSustainedCellRate?

This object sets the sustained cell rate (SCR) in cells-per-second for an ATM PVC (Permanent Virtual Circuit), ranging from 86 to 733,490 cells/sec depending on line type (OC3 or OC12). The SCR specifies the long-term rate at which cells may be transmitted, complementing the peak cell rate for traffic shaping. Network operators configure this to allocate ATM bandwidth fairly and prevent any single circuit from saturating the line.
