rc2kAtmPvcLinkStateChange

Module: RAPID-CITY

OID (symbolic): RAPID-CITY::rc2kAtmPvcLinkStateChange

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.21.15

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

A rc2kAtmPvcLinkStateChange trap signifies that the SNMPv2 entity, acting in an agent role, has detected that the rc2kAtmPvcOamVcStatus object for one of PVC is about to transition into different state, either from up to down or from down to up.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' RAPID-CITY::rc2kAtmPvcLinkStateChange
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.2272.1.21.15

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:53556->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (161519412) 18 days, 16:39:54.12
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: RAPID-CITY::rc2kAtmPvcLinkStateChange
