Category: Raisecom Networks, Textual Conventions

Description: Defines textual conventions and enumeration types used across Raisecom PON series MIBs.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RAISECOM-PONSERIES-TC?

RAISECOM-PONSERIES-TC is a textual-conventions module belonging to Raisecom's PON (Passive Optical Network) series of access equipment, such as OLTs and ONUs used in fiber-to-the-home deployments. Rather than exposing live device data itself, it defines shared data types and enumerations (for example status codes, mode indicators, or table index conventions) that other Raisecom PON MIBs reuse to describe optical line and terminal state, port configuration, and alarm codes. It has no directly monitorable objects of its own, so it does not surface uptime, temperature, CPU, or fault counters directly, but it underpins the type definitions used by companion Raisecom PON MIBs that do expose that operational data. It depends on standard SNMP SMIv2 conventions and is meant to be imported by, and interpreted alongside, other RAISECOM-PONSERIES-* modules. It is typically loaded on network management stations managing Raisecom fiber access networks so that dependent MIBs parse and display correctly. Engineers can download the RAISECOM-PONSERIES-TC file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RAISECOM-PONSERIES-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Raisecom PON OLT
  • Raisecom PON ONU/ONT

Monitoring Examples

This module contains only TEXTUAL-CONVENTION definitions (shared enumerations and type syntaxes), not runtime data objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe from it directly. An administrator would not poll this MIB itself; instead it is imported by other Raisecom PON MIBs that reference its defined types when reporting per-port or per-ONU status.
