What Is RAISECOM-BASE-MIB?

RAISECOM-BASE-MIB defines the root enterprise OID structure and shared textual conventions used across Raisecom Technology's networking equipment lines, which include media converters, industrial Ethernet switches, and access/transport devices for telecom carriers. Like other "base" modules, it does not itself expose interface, environment, or performance data; it supplies the common OID hierarchy and data types that the vendor's product-specific MIBs (covering configuration, faults/traps, and device status) build upon. Because it has no runtime data objects, it is not used to directly monitor uptime, temperature, CPU/memory load, power/fan health, or software version — that information appears in the Raisecom device MIBs that import this base structure. Every Raisecom-specific MIB module is dependent on this base module compiling correctly first. It is deployed as a supporting/dependency file loaded alongside the actual Raisecom device MIBs in an SNMP manager or MIB browser, and administrators loading the RAISECOM-BASE-MIB MIB directly will find only OID and textual-convention definitions there, not pollable data.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RAISECOM-BASE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Raisecom carrier/access network equipment, entire product line (shared OID registration root)

Monitoring Examples

RAISECOM-BASE-MIB has no sample_objects and defines no scalars, tables, or notifications of its own — it is purely an OID-registration and textual-convention module. There is nothing to poll here directly; monitoring of a Raisecom device's ports, alarms, or environment would be done through the specific Raisecom product MIB that imports this base module.
