Description: Raisecom Ethernet Local Management Interface (E-LMI/MEF 16) MIB for per-port EVC and VLAN service configuration on Raisecom Ethernet switches

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is RAISECOM-ELMI-MIB?

RAISECOM-ELMI-MIB is a Raisecom vendor-specific MIB (module identity rcElmi) implementing Ethernet Local Management Interface (E-LMI, MEF 16) for per-port EVC and VLAN service configuration on Raisecom Ethernet switches. It exposes global control objects rcElmiEnable, rcElmiMode (pe/ce, provider-edge or customer-edge role), rcElmiTrapEnable, and EVC capacity counters rcElmiMaxEvcNum/rcElmiCfgEvcNum, alongside per-port and per-EVC tables including rcElmiPortTable, rcElmiUniPeTable/rcElmiUniCeTable (UNI-side PE/CE state), rcElmiEvcPeTable/rcElmiEvcCeTable (EVC-to-port mapping), rcElmiPeStatisticsTable/rcElmiCeStatisticsTable (protocol message counters), rcElmiRemoteUniTable, and rcElmiCeVlanMapTable. This makes the MIB useful for monitoring E-LMI protocol health and EVC/VLAN service mapping at Ethernet UNI demarcation points rather than raw link-layer counters. It depends on RAISECOM-BASE-MIB for its enterprise placement and on VLAN-related textual conventions from SWITCH-TC and Q-BRIDGE-MIB, and is deployed on Raisecom carrier-Ethernet access switches acting as E-LMI PE or CE devices; operators troubleshooting service delivery consult the RAISECOM-ELMI-MIB MIB for the exact EVC and UNI table layout.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RAISECOM-ELMI-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Raisecom carrier-Ethernet access switches (E-LMI PE/CE roles)

Monitoring Examples

An operator polls rcElmiEvcPeTable and rcElmiUniPeTable on a PE-mode Raisecom switch to confirm the expected EVCs are mapped to the customer-facing port, then checks rcElmiPeStatisticsTable for E-LMI status/enquiry message counts; a UNI showing configured EVCs in rcElmiEvcPeTable but no incrementing status-enquiry counters in rcElmiPeStatisticsTable would indicate the CE device is not properly running E-LMI.

What Can Be Monitored

  • global E-LMI enable/mode/trap state
  • EVC capacity (max vs. configured)
  • per-port and per-UNI E-LMI state tables
  • EVC-to-port/VLAN mapping tables
  • E-LMI protocol message statistics
  • remote UNI table entries
