What Is RADWARE-MIB?

RADWARE-MIB provides the base MIB structure for Radware application delivery controller (ADC) devices, covering system identification, bridging configuration, and alarm/error reporting. It exposes objects for device actions, firmware file names, bridge type and version/feature/license information, ARP timeout configuration, ICMP handling, and a community-string management table. It supports monitoring of software status through rndBrgVersion (firmware version), rndErrorDesc/rndErrorSeverity (error condition reporting), and rndBridgeAlarm (bridging-related alarm state), giving administrators visibility into both configuration integrity and active fault conditions. As a proprietary Radware enterprise MIB, it forms the foundation that other Radware product-specific MIBs (e.g., load balancing) build upon rather than depending on external standards. It is deployed on Radware application delivery controllers and traffic management appliances in data center and enterprise network environments. Consulting the RADWARE-MIB MIB definitions directly is often necessary since object names like rndBrgVersion and rndErrorDesc are not documented as thoroughly as those in standards-based MIBs.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in RADWARE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll rndErrorDesc and rndErrorSeverity to detect and triage active error conditions on the device, and check rndBridgeAlarm for bridging-layer alarms indicating a network loop or link issue. The rndCommunityTable would be reviewed to confirm which SNMP communities have management access, while rndBrgVersion and rndBrgFeatures/rndBrgLicense would be checked during an inventory audit to confirm the firmware version and licensed feature set are as expected.
