Description: This parameter enables/disables the Gratuitous ARP feature. When enabled, the feature means: when receiving ARP with sender's Source IP Address that already exists in the ARP table - replace MAC Address with sender's Source MAC Address.
What is wrGratuitousArp?
This object enables or disables the Gratuitous ARP feature, which allows the device to update ARP table entries when it receives ARP packets with matching source IP addresses. When enabled, the device replaces the old MAC address with the sender's MAC address from incoming ARP messages. An operator would enable this feature to allow dynamic ARP table updates when devices change their MAC addresses.
