Description:
This object indicates the Protection Mode of the port. notApplicable- when Bus Protection Point=No. For VC-4/Omni card this object is supported RO.
What is prtGenCnfgProtectionMode?
This object specifies the protection or redundancy mode for a port on a telecom circuit card, such as 1+1 automatic protection switching or no protection. Different protection modes provide varying levels of fault tolerance and recovery speed. An operator selects the appropriate mode during circuit provisioning based on service level agreements and the criticality of the circuit.
