Description:
This object indicates a unique Indication Signal. ais(1) = AIS = Alarm Indication Signal. rdi(2) = RDI = Remote Defect Indication.
What is prtBdbandIndSig?
This OID indicates which alarm signal is currently present on a high-speed digital line (AIS or RDI). AIS signals indicate a complete loss of incoming signal; RDI indicates the remote end detected a problem. An operator checks this when a line goes down to determine whether the fault is local or at the remote location.
